I haven't really posted anything recently. The reason of my lack of post is because it's the end of semester!!!! and likely I'll have to deal with lots of essay writings and ASSignments! oh I wanna throw up just by thinking of it.

Anyway, I uploaded this next picture instead. There you have ME singing the acoustic version of Chris Brown's "FOREVER" with Felix (guitar) and Haris (bass). We played on an amazing private party called AMAZCOME (about 2 months ago?) :) and the theme was all about amazon, jungle, animals, and natives. It was pretty fun! Everybody was dressing up real nice. I dress as a living Pochahontas with an animal printed tube dress, a vest, and self-made accessories :)

I sang on some company party in Baliroom, Kempinski Hotel, that used to be Hotel Indonesia. Since I still feel very blue because my boyfriend is now pretty sick and is hospitalized, I didn't feel like putting much accessories today. I didn't even wear earrings while performing on the party!

I dug out my closet and found this vintage dress which belonged to my grandmother! The length of this dress is so 50's. Hahaha...I wore it with my hair up, a simple pair of wedges, and a very light make-up.

A couple of days ago I asked my boyfriend to give me two pairs of his old jeans. I'm actually going to cut it and make it as comfy shorts but because the jeans fabric was sooooo comfortable to wear (not to heavy, not to light), I ended up wearing it all night and the day after, to campus. And the t-shirt I was wearing in the picture was also belong to my boyfriend. It's amazing to raid your boyfriend's closet, because usually boy's stuff are rrrreally comfortable.

Aaaand yesterday I, again, went to perbanas to pick up a pair of (another) custom shoes. This time I only paid for IDR 90.000!!! Super cheap for such a fab shoes! I'm super satisfied ::)

p. s. I'm really sorry for the overlooking messy face. My college stuff is driving me crazy, and it's mid-term test on Monday!!! wish me luck.

This morning in class I read a friend's new gogirl magazine and found somebody's selling leather jacket for such cheap price!! It was written that I could order it by phone, and that's exactly what I did after class. I called the seller and ordered this very cool hooded leather jacket for only IDR 225.000. By the time I got home, my mom stopped me to make the transfer by saying that it'd be better if I meet the seller in person and pick out the jacket with my own hand. Since I was really eager to buy this jacket, I asked the seller if I could come to her home right then and take the jacket directly, and she welcomed me to come. I was soooo thrilled by the time I got there, there were several choices of the leather jacket. I was so lucky to get to pick the jacket myself because turned out that the jacket I was about to order had some detailing which I wasn't very fond of on the back. So I picked another jacket with pockets on front. I loooove my new jacket, thanks to gogirl, and the seller, Natassya.

Today, 10 April 2009, one of my bestfriends--Idoth--celebrates her 19th birthday. She was so psyched when we arrive at her home, bringing a blueberry cheesecake to her room since she had no idea that we planned this surprise for her. By the time we finished singing happy birthday to Idoth and she blowed the candle, her father forced us to eat some very devilish midnight food. I still feel very guilty. In her birthday Idoth will go to an audition for Berklee in Malaysia at 9 am and sadly I couldn't go with her to the airport, but I believe she was delightful enough because of this surprise :) Happy Birthday, girl! and I wish you the best of luck for the audition!!

Java Jazz Festival part 2

Sunday was the second day of the festival for me. I was actually very tired from the camp I went on the night before, but whatever! It's Java Jazz! And again, I saw fantastic performances. The two most inspiring was Ron King Quartet (Ron King was wearing a very fashionable men's boots!) and the crazy Tony Monaco (although I fell a sleep for a while during his performance since it's already 1 in the morning. I wore the last outfit I brought to the camp..hehehe

On Friday I went to the biggest music festival in Indonesia, Java Jazz Festival. It was loaded with people! Thank god I was with my boyfriend so I didn't get lost in the crowd since I'm very small and easily disappear among the crowd. I arrived at the venue at about 19.30 and got the chance to see lots of performances, such as performance from Ledisi, Mike Stern featuring Dave Weckl, and the colaboration of New York Voice and Ron King Big Band. The performances were super fabulous!! If you're interested, I found their review on jazzuality.com. There you can see how Java Jazz Festival may become the biggest international music festival, since there are more than 1000 artists performing in 3 days of festival.

dream a little dream

Yesterday I went to aquarius studio di bilangan arteri pondok indah, where I'll record vocals for my album. The studio is massive! And they got very expensive high quality mixers, operator, even the doors are superfine. I'll record my vocal on monday. I'm so nervous because I know how much that studio cost, I'm just so scared if I screw all this whole recording thing up. Wish me the best of luck! This has been my dream for such a long time!!

This is the picture of what i wore, with my puppy, Malta. The shorts is so special for me since I found it in a flea market for only IDR 2500 (25 cents). I just looove the color.

today i ordered a shawl from this small yet very cool brand, cotton.ink. From the picture it looks so damn gorgeous! and it only cost IDR 50.000 crazy crazy. i ordered it by e-mail and i'll pay for it tomorrow, can't wait to wear it on my own. from the blog, there are some pictures actually wearing the shawl as huge bracelet, belt, and head wrap. hahaha very clever. they should sell lots of other stuff as well!

Hari ini hari pertama masa pra-paskah. Rabu abu, di mana umat kristiani katolik berbondong-bondong pergi ke gereja untuk ditandain jidatnya pake abu, tanda pertobatan. Yang gue bingung, sebelum-sebelumnya setiap kali misa minggu biasa di gereja, yg dtg minim. Gue sm haris bahkan bisa aja tuh cuma berdua duduk di balkon. Namuuun, hari ini nampaknya berbeda. Karena itungannya hari raya dan bukan minggu biasa, penuh aja loh tuh gereja. Lah gue bingung, kok tiba-tiba yg katolik jadi banyak? Bahkan kita mesti parkir di lahan seberang gereja gitu saking jalan depan-pinggir gereja (tempat parkir) udh keisi semua.

well, kalau ada yang belom tahu, di masa pra-paskah ini kita wajib berpantang dan berpuasa (alias festing)! I have decided to fest during the pre-easter time by only eat once a day. And i've also decided to cut my habit of shopping on little things. Now THAT will be hard.

Well recently I've been working on my solo album. I've figured out the songs and the mixing of the music is still in progress. By having an album, I need to set some brand new attitude that a lot of people would like (so they would buy my CD). My mom told me to start smiling and reduce the stare-down look which I use to do. The hardest thing is that it's really difficult for me to smile naturally. I think of myself looking like an idiot when I smile. I really need to work on that.

I've been very ill this last couple of days so I'm not really in the mood of dressing up and going out. I spent valentine's day at home, taking medication and sleeping all day long! Luckily my boyfriend cared enough to visit me on valentine's day and bought me a cup of hot chocolate milk.

Berhubung kita lagi sering ngumpul di belakang Gedung M FISIP UI buat ngomongin MBJ (malam balas jasa), gue tidak akan menyia-nyiakan talent teman-teman yang senang fotografi dong. Jadilah belakang Gedung M itu sebagai studio foto dadakan (pemberdayaan sesama).

Anyway the pictures here are low quality pictures because I got it through facebook tagged photos. Di foto-foto di bawah gue keliatan tinggi gak siiih??iya kaann!? hehe ngarep. Yaudah kalo emang enggak, can't you just at least pretend to see me as a tall girl? Thank you.

Oyah tadi sore gue dan tante-tante Gossip Girl-nya Komunikasi UI 2008 memutuskan urat malu kita semua dan rela NGAMEENN demi nyari tambahan dana buat MBJ! How cool was that!? Kita sama sekali ga nyiapin lagu, tapi mungkin emang dasar kepedean, kita meluncur ke Fakultas Teknik naik bikun (bis kuning), lalu melacurkan diri kita ke bangku-bangku kantin FT dengan menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan: "Pernah Muda" by BCL. But you know as unbelievable as it sounds, we managed to collect Rp 115 ribuuu!! hahaha ga nyangkaa, padahal lagunya itu-itu doang. Tips ngamen: buang rasa jaim, jangan lupa pake eyeliner, dan pasang tampang manja.

Last night I went to GKJ (jakarta art building xP ..I meant, jakarta concert hall) to watch contemporer jazz artist from france, Francois Lindemann. Awalnya gue mengiyakan ajakan sang pacar untuk ntn acara di GKJ ini karena harga tiketnya lebih murah dibanding konsernya Benny Likumahua di Balai Sarbini yg diselengarakan pada waktu yg sama. Pertimbangan lainnya adalah bahwa artis2 yg ngisi konsernya Benny adalah artis2 yg bakalan bisa gue tonton nanti di Javajazz, mendingan nonton yg import di GKJ ini doongg!?

Ga nyesel sih, the whole show was amazing. Emang sih agak berat, tapi seneng aja ngeliat kolaborasi orang2 dari negara yg beda2 (2 orang perancis, 2 orang US, 2 orang Maroco, 2 orang Indo, dan 1 cewek dari Cina) main musik etnik bareng2 gitu, mana kompak banget..

Anywaay, my outfit was perfect for the theme. I put on my harem pants (which I found in Zara Kids, for 11 years old) and a scarf worn as mid-eastern hoodie. I almost danced my belly off along the music.

Malta baru 3 bulan, masih kecil bangeet. Tadi pagi aja udh bisa bikin stress dengan tiba2 menghilang! Ternyata doi ngumpet di kolong sofa saking kecilnya. Sekarang gue lagi mau ke petshop buat beli pager supaya dia ga ilang2 dalem rumah kalo lagi ga ada yg ngejagain.

Hari-hari belajar has come! Gue sekarang ada di kelas MPK agama katolik, lagi pada ngebahas atheis, wahyu, lalala, ah, yang penting gue percaya sama wahyunya itu lah. No need to talk about it. Ya nggak? The more we talk about it, the worse it would get. Mendingan kita ngomongin gimana caranya nyelamatin pinguin2 kutub. Gue yakin Tuhan kita juga ga pingin kita ngeributin hal-hal yang ga perlu.

Nikita Dompas bareng Tomorrow People Ensemble waktu itu sempet manggung di Cafe AuLait Cikini setelah lama ga kedengeran. Malem itu AuLait was filled with people, and not just ordinary ones, tapi orang-orang yang muke-mukenyee familiar. Dari personilnya Alexa sampe Nicholas Saputra pada dateng semua cuma buat liat Nikita yang kalo main gitar kayak orang lagi mompa ban.

I believe it was Christmas Eve, di Vatican Embassy Gambir, gue nyanyi bareng paduan suara John Paul II, dan gue melihat mas Dompas dateng bersama keluarganya ikutan misa. Jujur gue agak kaget karena gue tidak mengira bahwa Nikita ternyata ngerayain natal. Hmm seagama, jago main gitar, tampang ga ancur-ancur amat, ..kayaknya gue jodoh deh sama doi. (ngareeepp.....)

Anywaaayy gue cuma mau ngepost foto waktu di AuLait itu yang ga jadi-jadi gue upload.

Ada yang udah pernah lewat jembatan barunya plaza indonesia? Well gue sempet lewat sana kemaren dan gue liat distro (-yang gue ga tau namanya) yang jual blair waldorf headband yang udah gue cari sana-sini dari duluuuuu banget. tapii harganya sama sekali ga woooooorrrrthh!!! Karena sebel, akhirnya gue memutuskan untuk bikin sendiri my very own headband. LO PIKIRR GUE BUTUH BANDO MAHAL LO HEEEHH DISTRO YANG GUE GA TAU NAMANYAAA??!!

(tapi gue mengakui sih barangnya oke-oke. kapan-kapan gue lewat lagi gue beli deh.)

I surfed grandindonesia with my girlfriends today. Dimana biasanya kita cuma masuk ke toko-toko di west mall seperti forever 21, topshop, dll, hari ini kita memberanikan diri untuk mengunjungi the other end of the mall yang isinya only god (dan orang-orang yg awfully kaya) knows what. For a start kita masuk ke deptstore yg namanya harvey nichols. Fuck. Ada baju seharga mobil. Astaghfirullah sampe kebelet berak masuk situ. Walau tulisannya diskon 50%, tetep aja baju-bajunya masih jauh lebih mahal dari blackberi gue! Kita berusaha nyari yang diskon 99% sehingga harganya jadi 50ribu ternyata ga ada. Sigh.

Anyway, gue akan menamakan anjing maltese baru gue yang umurnya 2 bulan dan baru bisa dibawa pulang hari kamis depan itu 'nichols'. No reason, really.

malem ini gue nyanyi sama john paul choir, seragam pake top item, celana item, blazer item payet-payet gitu. sebelum dan sesudah nyanyi gue sempet-sempetin buat ganti rok. gini ceritanya, itu rok tadi pagi menjatohkan diri dari lemari baju gue (sebenernya karena lemari baju gue udh susah ditutup saking berantakanya), jadi gue menganggap itu adalah sign bahwa gue harus pake rok ini no matter what hari ini. dari pagi gue pake rok tersebut sebagai tubedress, sampai tadi pas mau berangkat nyanyi pairing it with tube top item sm spatu meraaahh. oyah btw rok itu belinya di pasar baruu. lima ribuu.

i just had to put gambar handphone cdma gue yang baru kemaren ini gue tempelin swarovski. abisnya tuh hp suka ilang-ilang, harapan gue sih dengan adanya tempelan diamond-diamond swarovski itu sekarang doi ga ilang-ilang lagi. maksudnya, gue akan jadi lebih care sm handphone itu sekarang.

anyway, gue beli kristal-kristalannya di pasar mayestik. ada banyak banget pilihannya, sampe bingung sendiri. 1 lusinnya rp 7000! gue pikir bakalan lebih murah (pelit). yaudah lah ya ada uang ada barang.

I've been having a huge crush on this guess ankle boots. Sebenernya modelnya biasa aja, tapi pas dipake stylenya dapet bgt. Jadi kate moss itungan detik. Nggak deng lebay ah. Ya intinya gue suka bgt sama sepatu itu, but I just can't afford it, harganya 1,5 juta dan nyokap gue ga mau beliin, which means gue harus beli sendiri. Goodluck laras!

ok. this is my first post ever. awalnya gue menganggap blogging tuh ga lebih dari aksi eksistansi orang-orang yang pingin diliat, tapi makin lama gue ngeliat bahwa blogger-blogger yang gue liat emang pada dasarnya orang-orang yang keren-keren bgt (well at least most of them are). nah, aksi gue ngeblog sekarang sebenernya ga jauh-jauh dari tindakan maksimalisasi blackberry gue yang cicilannya ga lunas-lunas. gue juga ngerasa udah waktunya gue mulai nulis lagi dan menyampaikan pengalaman gue dalam bentuk tulisan. ya itung-itung nulis diary, tapi enaknya ga perlu capek-capek nulis pake pensil.

oh ya btw kemarin ulang taunnya grace. gue udah ga ketemu dia lebih dari 6 bulan gara-gara dia pindah ke aussie. we made a little surprise buat dia kemarin, and it made her really happy karena cowoknya ternyata ga nyiapin apa-apa buat ulangtaunnya, tapi malah bikinin surprise ulang taun buat temennya di pisa cafe.

we made it to the fortune teller di grandindonesia, and he told me kalo gue bakalan nikah bentar lagi. ups.
